I can’t believe that fall is here! I may not be ready to say goodbye to summer, but I am so excited to see my pumpkin decorations out! As I was decorating for fall these days, I wanted to do some DIY projects. Here, I’m sharing with you how I made a cute, pumpkin hot cocoa sign.
If you remember my hot cocoa station from last year, I hung a pumpkin sign that I got at the Target Bullseye’s section.
I loved this sign for its pretty details such as the golden border. However, it also looked a bit plain, which made it a perfect candidate for future DIYs.
I first spray-painted the pumpkin a soft pink color. Then, instead of the brown twine, I put some pink ribbon.
The next step was writing a message on the sign. I used a gold sequin trim and a glue gun. You can also use just regular glue and any type of decorative accessories such as beads, pearls, or rhinestones.
I wanted to use this sign for my hot cocoa station, so I decided to write on it: “hot cocoa.” You can first lightly write the message with a pencil like I did. Then, glue the sequin trim on to the pumpkin. This step takes some patience and can get messy. You have to work fast, because the hot glue dries quickly.
I’m loving how this has turned out!
What does your coffee/hot cocoa/tea station sign say?
